Bill Scott, Former Founding Board Director

Bill Scott is a Founding Member of the Maximilian Board of Directors. He joined the foundation out of respect to my friend Rick Schmid. I also saw it as a possible opportunity to celebrate young Max’s short life.

Having worked Narcotics during my career, he can say unequivocally the “War on Drugs” has been lost thus far. Substance Abuse Addiction destroys, people, their lives, families and worse breaks many hearts, especially those of Mothers and Fathers.

He is Graduate of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. He is retired from a career in U.S Postal Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service. As a US Postal Inspector, Bill was assigned to various domicile offices where he worked criminal investigative assignments in New York, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, NY, Washington, DC, Newark, NJ, Bala Cynwyd, PA, Philadelphia, PA and Bellmawr, NJ. His investigative work included External Crimes, Narcotics, Violent Crimes and Assaults, Mail Fraud investigations. He was also a Team Leader, Supervisor and during his tenure was assigned to the Regional Chief Postal Inspectors Office in both the Northeast Region and Eastern Region as the Management and Operations Analyst for the Regional Chief Inspectors.

Bill was also a dedicated NJ State Certified EMT for over 25 years serving NJ communities as a volunteer EMT in Evesham Twp. EMS and Stafford Twp. EMS, where he became a Life Member of the later. Bill taught EMT and was a Certified NJ State EMT Instructor/ Lead Instructor. He taught EMT and EMS in Camden County College and the Ocean County Fire and EMS Academy, Ocean County, NJ. Following his retirement from the US Postal Inspection Service, Bill returned to School to continue his EMS work and education. He became a Nationally Registered EMT Paramedic working Paramedic assignments in Ocean, Atlantic and Cape May Counties, NJ for Health Care providers like MONOC in Ocean County and AtlantiCare, Atlantic and Cape May Counties until his retirement from Paramedicine in 2014.

Bill and his wife of 48 years, Nina Salvo Scott, now reside in Rotonda West, FL. They have three Children, Billy, Kelley and Michael and six Grandchildren. Bill will continue to work and serve with the Board to achieve the Goals and Objectives of the Maximilian Foundation.
